Reiki attunement testimonials

Here are a few responses to remote reiki attunements I've carried out. Note how everyone has a different experience - no two attunements are alike.

"Today is the day – I had been looking forward to it for the past several days. I think the preparation for it began last night when I decided to do a short self-healing. During the healing, I could feel these "golf balls" of energy popping up over different areas of my body. I had only felt something similar once when I inserted an acupuncture needle into my leg – and it was only one "golf ball". I felt as if the energy in my body was being adjusted in preparation for the attunement.

About an hour and fifteen minutes before the time of the attunement, I decided to do some Qigong to clear my body of stale energy and replenish it with fresh energy from the universe. About 20-25 minutes before 1 pm, I started to meditate as you suggested. 10-15 minutes into the meditation, I could feel like there was an excitement building. I felt the presence of many angelic beings who had gathered around me to witness it and tears rolled down my face as I thanked them for having been with me through all my different lifetimes, guiding me and helping me. They were there as well at my Reiki II attunement and my Reiki teacher said she felt there were many beings around at that time.

Suddenly I felt a pressure on my shoulders as if someone behind me had put his hands on them. At that instant, I knew you had made the connection. Then some flashes of white light appeared at the level of my third eye – I could see them with my eyes closed and felt like I would be blinded if I tried to open my eyes. I began to feel a lot of energy in my whole aura from head to foot and my cells began vibrating and pulsating really strongly. For some reason, I began to wonder what all the angelic beings present were doing and perceived that they were now on their knees bowing in reverence for the Reiki source. I felt like energetically, I had also got on my knees as well. After a while, the vibrations stopped and I felt a deep calm and stillness.

In a few more instances, more flashes of light, this time red, appeared. After this, I’m not sure of the order in which things happened. Pretty much, it seemed like the flashes of light marked different phases in the attunement and they were of different colors each time – green, violet, yellow. Each phase began with flashes of light and ended with a feeling of deep calm. In each phase, something different happened. I’ll list the things that happened in each phase:

My third eye chakra opened and a lot of energy entered.

My crown chakra opened and a lot of energy entered.

There was a lot of energy at my heart chakra during one phase although I didn’t perceive it opening like the other two chakras.

I felt my palms and fingers tingle with a lot of energy. Then it was as if someone very gently straightened my fingers so that my palms were completely open. My palm chakras opened up and a lot of energy entered.

At some point, my crown chakra opened again and more energy entered.

At one point, I wondered if the attunement was complete but was told, "There is one last thing to be done."

Then I felt a lot of energy in the form of vibrations and tingling at the back of my head. Slowly, this energy, which changed to a pleasant warmth, began to flow gently down the back of my neck, down my spine and down the back of my legs. As it flowed down my spine, I felt as if someone was straightening and gently stretching my back and neck upward. And I heard a voice say, “All the blockages in your back are being removed

."

I then felt this same gentle warmth flow down the outside of my arms to the back of my hands as well.

After these sensations subsided, I waited a little longer and still felt that it was not over. Then I suddenly felt the urge to say "Day Ko Myo" silently and felt the energy of the symbol at my third eye. A few flashes of light appeared. Another period of calm.

Then I heard a voice say, "The attunement is complete", and I knew it was done. I opened my eyes and it was 1:35 pm.

I physically got on my knees to give thanks. And I had the sense that not only had a gift been given to me but a responsibility that will unfold in the coming days. It is as if the Reiki symbols have been permanently "burned" into my hands and I know their power will accompany all my healing work. My path as a healer has truly begun.That was a wonderful experience." (Ann, San Francisco)

what can I say??

This was even more eventful than Reiki I attunement. I felt as though I was being pushed into my chair, as if I was going to topple it, it was so strong. My arms were so heavy and my legs..I could not move them. My face felt hot, and I saw plenty of colours, particularly orange and blue to start with. I felt at one point as if a strong light was being shone into my face.

I could picture a sort of spiral passing down through clouds, and lots of sunflowers! For some bizarre reason, the name Vancouver was strongly in my mind...don't know if this means anything to you?
I felt so relaxed and peaceful, and towards the end, I could see a white "blanket" being drawn over me, as if to cover me completely.

When carrying out my self healing, I could actually see the energy flow over my third eye chakra!
Can I expect some cleansing to take place again? I had some upset stomach last time, and it feels like that again!!

"What a wonderful attunement! My experience was very gentle yet powerful at the same time. I tend to see energy in wave like color patterns. I felt your connection the moment it started and the colors started flowing. As we became deeper connected my limbs felt heavy. We flowed back and forth for sometime then I saw the symbols appear in the colors patterns.
They floated in twice to my recall.

The flow continued for a while longer, then all of a sudden like a whoosh I had a surge of indrawn breath and we disconnected. It was very wonderful!
I would be curious to get your input as well.

I felt very drawn to use the energy yesterday and I worked on my sister. My energy flow was much more tangible than before almost like a thick fog between my hands as I placed the symbols in them
above her and used my hands to guide them down into her aura and chakras is was incredible, they seems to enter than dance within her flow and settle where they needed. It was quite a wonderful experience.

"Hi thought i would let you know how it went for me, it is one of those things in life when one doesn't know what to expect. I was very relaxed and having practiced yoga years ago and breathing, i know how to do that.

Anyway the sensations i was aware of was as if i was being pushed into the straight backed chair, my legs felt so heavy and i couldn't even feel my upturned hands a couple of times also it was as if i had a very light sensation through my body once - brightness twice. I did the self healing afterwards and was aware of heat from my hands..." (Dianna, Spain)

"OK.. well.. first let me say... WOW..

Did you start about 5 minutes early? At about 5 minutes til midnight I was hit with two successive blasts of energy in rapid succession.. It felt similar to when you do other types of energy work only much more powerful and I didn't have my usual strong urge to yawn as it coursed through me.

About 5 minutes later I got hit with another wave but much less intense than the first two... ten minutes after that I lost my lotus pose.. My hands fell open flat and my feet slipped out from under me and onto the floor.. I was at that point basking in some sort of continuous flow but it wasn't the strong tingly sensation of power like before... another 5 minutes went by and my spine spasmed 3 times and I lost my balance and fell backwards.. I was suddenly EXTREMELY heavy and unable to move anything but my eyeballs (but I couldn't open my eyes) and I could vary my breathing still but that was about it... I kept trying to move things.. fingers.. toes.. nothing would do what I wanted... I still felt something coursing through me and then suddenly started feeling localized heat in a number of places successively very slowly.. some I recognize as locations of minor ailments but also in the chakras... It moved successively down the left side and back up the right side stopping sometimes for several minutes on certain spots. especially my ears which popped as the heat moved on. After awhile I was able to open my eyes but I still felt really heavy and couldn't move a muscle.. I just lay there wondering what the hell was going on for quite awhile.. I wasn't at all tired.. in fact I was very charged and my vision seemed really sharply focused and almost excited. At one point I felt like crying but my eyes wouldn't water because I was so parched. I wasn't feeling sad but I could feel sadness welling up from inside trying to escape. I managed to pry myself up off the bed at around 12:45.. I was seriously parched and drank a ton of water and then went back and tried doing a self healing.. My hands were noticeably hotter than they've been before even and my body was unusually cold and clammy. I didn't feel like staying in most places very long except my heart.. I was done after about a half an hour and I got back up and felt the need for air so I went outside and walked out to the ocean and talked to the sea lions for a bit. The energized feeling of being super-awake and alert is only just starting to come down a bit now.. " (J.C San Francisco)

"The attunement was very good. I started meditating at about 2:50. I have a kneeling stool because I find it's the only effective way that I can keep my back straight. I did find that my hands and feet got warm and as I had my palms facing up I also felt a pressure; or, almost a resistance against the centre of my palms. Another interesting thing that I found, which doesn't normally happen on the kneeling stool, is that I experienced the same waves and judder's that have occured many times in standing qiqong." (R. "Thank you for the attunement. As I haven't meditated on a regular basis for some time, I wasn't sure whether some of the sensations I was experiencing were owing to being in the same position for a while. I did feel feel a very warm sensation in the base of my stomach and spine towards the end of the attunement. I followed this up with the self healing programme. At this stage the palms of my hands became very warm.
Incidentally, R has been giving me reiki on a regular basis, and, as I have mentioned before, it seems to have helped me overcome insomnia. I've always been a lousy sleeper! Not only have I been having the best sleep ever (in years) but I have been remembering my dreams which I haven't done for some time. My overall sense of well being is significant.
